This error means that during “Read vehicle info,” the device was not able to read the vehicle. To resolve this, there are a few things to check:
- Vbatt- [the vehicle's battery voltage]. This is in the Device info tab; it tells you the voltage the PCM of your vehicle is getting from the battery. This needs to be at or above 12v with the key on.
- Making sure the Key is in the “On” position, this would be two clicks forward after inserting the key into the ignition. For “Push to Start” vehicles, without holding the brake, hold the button for two to three seconds; it should say “full accessory mode.”
- If the vehicle starts and runs, and you are still getting this error after trying all the above, try to read vehicle info at another vehicle (needs to be the same make as your vehicle ex. Ford, GM, Chrysler, for the LWTS+ and X4)
