3. Installation Steps
Estimated Time: 25–30 minutes.
Step 1: Preparation
Cool Down: Wait for the engine to cool to avoid burns.
Power Down: Open the bonnet, lock the doors, and wait 10 minutes for electrical systems to switch off.
Keyless Go: Place keys at least 10 meters away from the vehicle.
Note: If your car won't lock with the bonnet open, push the bonnet catch over manually, lock the car, and wait 15 minutes. Remember to release the catch later.
Step 2: Engine Cover Removal
The engine cover is typically held by clips (A) or screws (B).
If your vehicle does not have a cover, proceed to Step 3.
Step 3: Connect Turbo Boost Pressure Sensor
Locate the turbo boost pressure sensor.
Disconnect the stock plug and connect the harness end marked "A".
Ensure the locking clip engages with a sharp CLICK.
Step 4: Connect Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor
Locate the MAP sensor.
Disconnect the stock plug and connect the harness end marked "B".
Listen for the CLICK to confirm a secure connection.
Step 5: Function Test & Final Mounting
Ignition ON: Switch on the ignition but DO NOT start the engine.
Verify Power: Check that the Power ON light on the B3X is lit.
Start Engine: If clear, start the engine; it should idle normally.
Secure Device: Use the 360 degree clips and cable ties to secure the module away from heat and moving parts.
4. Syncing with the Tuning Pro App
Download the Tuning: Pro app from your app store.
With the ignition ON, open the app and select ADD PRODUCT.
Enter the 13-digit serial number from the back of the device or scan the QR code.
Use the last 6 digits of the serial number as your Bluetooth PIN.
5. Fine-Tuning Your Mappings
Note: Only change mappings when the ignition is ON but the engine is OFF.
Factory Setting: Mappings default to 5.
For Smoother Idling: If the engine runs roughly, move down the scale (e.g., from 5 to 4) until performance is smooth.
For Extra Performance: If you want more noticeable power, move up the scale (e.g., from 5 to 6 or 7).
6. Troubleshooting Highlights
Engine fault light: Park, leave ignition on, set mapping to 1, and turn off ignition. Lock the car and wait 30 minutes before restarting.
Rough gear shifts: Select the next lower fine-tuning mapping until shifts are smooth.
No fuel savings: Ensure an economical driving style and select a higher mapping for better efficiency.
