This error is an indication that the “Tune Revision” is out of date on the device.
To update the Tune Revision, download the Device Updater software and select [Automatically Check for Updates]. Afterward, you will be able to take the device back to the vehicle and continue as normal. (Click here to download the Device Updater software if you haven't done so already)
