Typically this happens when you are tuning the vehicle and the device has you do a wifi update. Then it either fails or says the device is up to date.
If Demo mode is on, turn it off.
To check if the device is in demo mode: From the main menu go to (Device Settings). Scroll to the bottom and you will see demo mode, make sure it says disabled, or off.
If the vehicle has a Ford Racing calibration in it you will need to take the vehicle back to the dealer to have the "as-built" calibration flashed back into the vehicle before you will be able to tune it.
