questions about transferring a tune with another computer to my X3

I recently had to reinstall windows on the laptop I use for tuning my car, now I get an error if I attempt to program my X3, Can I use a friend's computer who also has the PRP package if I use my dongle when loading my tune into the X3? We own different tuning strategies. He has 4 cars of the same model as mine, but my car does not use the same tuning strategy as any of his. I am having an issue where my car is not setting the OBDII long term monitors after installing a wide band O2, which is the reason for wanting to change the tuning profile in the car. The car has been driven over 2,000 miles since the last error code reset, and the long term monitors are still not set.
